Introducing Truckers Against Trafficking
40 million is the estimated number of modern-day slaves reported around the world. Not only is this becoming a worldly epidemic, this heinous crime has also been reported in all 50 states, estimating within hundreds of thousands in the United States alone. While human trafficking, or modern-day slavery, tends to be a sensitive subject for most, there are people, mostly women and children, who are being bought and sold daily and coerced into forced labor or commercial sex.
Truckers Against Trafficking has made it their mission to “educate, equip, empower and mobilize members of the trucking and busing industries to combat human trafficking.” They have come to see the importance Truckers have against the fight to end human trafficking and started to train not only truckers, but partner with law enforcement and government agencies in the US to begin to make a difference in this horrible reality of human trafficking.
If you would like to learn more or join in the fight, please visit their website by hovering over Truckers Links in our Menu Bar and selecting Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT).
