Driver Pre-Departure Checklist

1. Conduct a safety inspection; inspect tires, brakes, and radiator for damage.
2. Check to ensure that all tractor/trailer access panels/doors are locked and “seals” remain intact/uncompromised.
3. If equipped, check your vehicle electronic tracking system regularly, and notify dispatch when it is not working.
4. Establish an overdue time at your destination and have someone follow up if you are overdue.
