Retention of driver’s record of duty status and supporting documents

 

  • A motor carrier needs to retain records of duty status and supporting documents required for each of its drivers for a period of no less than 6 months from the date of receipt.
  • The driver needs to retain a copy of each record of duty status for the previous 7 days which shall be in his/her possession and available for inspection while on duty.
